PRESS Conference: International Jury of the 3 rd Edition of FEICOM National Award for Councils’ Local Development Best Practices

On 22 August 2019, a Press Conference was organized in FEICOM with members of the International jury for the 3 rd edition of FEICOM National Award under the coordination of the General Manager. The press conference which lasted for close to 50 minutes started at 10 a.m., with an introductory statement by Mr. Philippe Camille AKOA followed by a self-introduction by the members of Jury. The exercise was led by the Chairperson herself, Mrs. RAHARINJATAVO Hanitra. A series of questions were posed by the journalists pertaining to the organization of the award, the selection criteria for participating Councils and if Councils were still attracted by the ceremony given a marked drop in the number of participants. With many precisions, answers were provided to explain that Councils are chosen after meticulous selection. That award is to promote the best initiatives, so it is not a problem of number of participation but those which upon realization really solved problems of citizen in their area of competence. Interviews and group photo of the General Manager and guests rounded up the occasion and discussions at the West end of the head office building.
