FEICOM

Today, the ladies of FEICOM paid an emotionally-charged visit to the women of the AFIRI Centre as part of activities marking the celebration of the 40th International Women’s Day.

The AFIRI Centre, which means “House of Hope,” reflects the image of its founder, Yvonne BELEMA:

The Centre stands tall, it is resilient, friendly, and offers hope for the future. It is a place where women who are victims of domestic violence, widows, and women searching for a home or a future can find a helping hand to lift them up and give them a new desire to live.

To this end, the Ladies of FEICOM, through their donations, supported the Centre in an initiative intended to help survivors make 5,000 sanitary towels and 2,000 baby diapers.

These include two industrial sewing machines, one industrial overseamer (commonly known as zig-zag machine), three industrial irons, two electric scissors, and IWD fabrics, among others.

In keeping with the theme of the 40th International Day for the celebration of women’s rights for 2025, “For all women and girls:  Rights, equality, and empowerment”,

our FEICOM Ladies, alongside the General Manager, He For She Ambassador, are deeply involved in AFIRI’s fight.

Today, we were able to celebrate the courage, determination, resilience, efforts, and achievements for which the association can rightly pride itself.

The presence of our women with their contribution, combined with the ongoing efforts of the AFIRI Centre, will enable all these women to survive, heal internally and externally, and then discover and unleash their potential before taking off to fulfil their destiny and become a true version of themselves.

We will conclude with these words of the manager of the AFIRI Centre, and I quote: “My gratitude to FEICOM for choosing the AFIRI Centre. It is a divine choice for all these women to whom you have given hope.”
