Du 20 au 25 mars 2022, Dakar devient la capitale de l’eau. La 9ième édition du Forum Mondial de l’Eau qui s’y tient est placée sous le thème : « sécurité de l’eau pour la paix et le développement ».
Cette rencontre à laquelle prennent part des Chefs d’État, des responsables d’institutions internationales, des décideurs, ainsi que des organismes gouvernementaux tel que le Fonds Spécial d’Équipement et d’Intervention Intercommunale (FEICOM), est un moment clé pour porter un plaidoyer fort et impulser la prise de décisions concrètes pour améliorer l’accès à l’eau et à l’assainissement pour tous.
Il faut souligner que l’organisme accorde une place prépondérante au secteur de l’eau dans sa politique de financement. Pour le compte de l’exercice 2021, une enveloppe de 3 203 876 022 FCFA a été octroyée par le FEICOM aux Collectivités Territoriales Décentralisées pour la réalisation d’infrastructures dans ledit secteur.
Un tel engagement de l’institution justifie sa présence à ce rendez-mondial, afin de trouver des solutions innovantes, de mobiliser des financements et de sensibiliser sur l’action conduite par le FEICOM pour l’atteinte de l’Objectif de Développement Durable 6.
Cette édition du genre organisée pour la première fois dans un pays d’Afrique subsaharienne, il sera question pour les participants du FEICOM de prendre part aux conférences, d’animer le stand, mais surtout, d’enrichir le carnet d’adresse avec de potentiels partenaires.
