The operating expenses support window

The operating expenses support window finances (i) cash advances and (ii) utility equipment projects.

Cash advances

The financing of cash advances is structured as a fully (100%) repayable loan.
Repayable loans (100%)
100%

Cash advances include:

  • Councils’ contributions
  • Salary arrears
  • Council counterpart funding for projects financed by other bodies and programmes
  • Payment of various bills
  • Cultural events
  • Building the capacities of council staff and local elected officials
  • Payment of Councils’ membership fees to certain national and international associations of Councils with an established reputation
  • Payment of expenses relating to missions to search for cooperation opportunities
  • Any other cash facility

The repayment period of funding secured to finance “Council contributions” and “Council counterpart contributions for projects financed by other organizations or programmes” is four (04) years.

The repayment period for the financing of other “cash advances” cannot exceed two (02) years.

Utility equipment projects

The financing of utility equipment projects shall be fully (100%) reimbursable.

Utility equipment projects include:

  • Purchase of liaison vehicles
  • Purchase of trucks and other utility vehicles
  • Acquisition of motorcycles and tricycles
  • Purchase of small scale office equipment (office furniture, computer equipment, maintenance equipment, etc.)
  • Other utility equipment projects

The repayment period of financing for utility equipment projects is as follows:

  • Office furniture: ten (10) years maximum;
  • Computer equipment: three (03) years maximum;
  • Vehicles, motorcycles and tricycles, trucks and other utility vehicles: four (04) years maximum;

    Finance les études des projets pour un montant ne pouvant excéder 300 millions de francs CFA et dont la durée de remboursement ne peut excéder six (06) ans
